How it works
- Register once at your home ward (one person, one account).
- Create your character and walk into your LGA: each of Oyo State's 33 LGAs is its own map, with state and federal buildings in Ibadan.
- Found a party at IWEC National HQ, or join one at its office. Registered parties get a national HQ, state and LGA chapters, and ward offices as they grow.
- Congresses elect each chapter's executive; ward executives become delegates at the LGA congress, and so up to the National Convention.
- Primaries choose candidates; the National Chairman submits them to IWEC.
- Collect your voter card at an IWEC office. On election day, get accredited at your ward's polling unit and vote in the booth by secret ballot.
- When polls close each unit posts its result sheet, IWEC collates them and declares the winners, who are sworn in.
- Office holders govern: legislators pass bills by recorded vote, the executive signs or vetoes, presents budgets and appoints commissioners, and citizens question, petition and rate them.
- Campaign: book rallies and debates (whoever holds the stage microphone is heard by the whole crowd), publish statements and share them on X with #IdealWorld, fact-check, run surveys at the market, hand out flyers.
- Hold power to account: the tribunal hears election petitions, impeachment reviews, party disputes and corruption charges; office holders declare assets to the CCB; unions protest and negotiate; the media house broadcasts radio shows and interviews; civil society observes elections and tracks budgets.
